Although this is a funny quote, it highlights the importance of money.
Different people value different things, and some people may not agree with this quote. However, all things being equal, I would rather have more money than less. As they say – money is not the key to happiness, but if you have enough money, you can have a key made!
This quote also points to something more subtle. When people are young, they tend not to think about money a lot, maybe because parents generally provide everything. But as they grow older, they tend to realize how important money is.
And now, as I am planning for early retirement, it is even more important to think about and plan for having enough money to last my lifetime.
When I was young, I thought that money was the most important thing in life.
